About The Author
Jim was born in rural Florida in the mid-thirties. After serving in the infantry in Korea, he graduated from the University of Florida College of Engineering. He first retired from professional engineering in 1985, but has twice been enticed to return to the work force. He retired for the third, and last, time in October, 2001, but is still active on special projects. He and his wife, Jean, travel extensively, frequently staying in private homes.
Jim, using his laptop, takes notes to use in pursuit of his avocation - writing.Jim remains active in his community. He has served with many community organizations, most notably the Sarasota Education Foundation. He is an active Rotarian, is a Paul Harris Fellow several times over, and served as Governor of Rotary District 6960 in 2003-2004.
A minimum of 25 percent of the profit from Jim's books goes to Rotary projects local and International, The Education Foundation of Sarasota County, North United Methodist Church and The University of Florida. |
